Profile

An experienced accountant Mugo is a member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer. Mugo is also the current Chairman of UZIMA’s Youth Enterprise Program’s micro-credit unit.

A Financial Consultant, Mugo has a long professional accounting career starting with banking in 1975. He has worked as an auditor, financial advisor and IT Manager for KPMG Kenya for over ten years as well as Regional Accountant for Reuters Africa and Country Manager for The Navigators Kenya before establishing his own Financial Advisory firm, FAST Consultants, which he currently runs. He is well travelled in Africa, Europe and the USA.

Has for many years been engaged in the promotion of wealth creation programs, projects and activities among the poor in rural and urban settings. A financial management advisor with extensive experience in providing advisory services in corporate governance, monitoring and evaluation, accounting and financial management to grant-seeking as well as grant-making, bi-lateral Not-for Profit Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

Member of Board of Trustees and Financial Advisor for the Economic Projects Trust Fund (EPTF) a youth development and support agency providing micro-credit; entrepreneurship training; business development services, market access and promotion of CSR across the country to small and medium size organisations.

Served for over twelve years as the Treasurer and as Elder of a large multi cultural trans-denominational Christian Church with a membership of over 3,000 members in Nairobi, Kenya.

Executive Board Member and Treasurer for Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA) a pan-African faith based movement with membership in over 47 countries in Africa. Also serves on the boards of other regional and local organisations.

Aged 50 is married with three daughters.
