Executive Director’s message

In the initial concept paper of 1996 by Co-founder Miriam K. Were an emphasis was laid on the direct involvement of youth in problem identification and search for solutions. this has been our guiding principle.

Out of our interaction with the UZIMA Youth Groups in the last ten years, the youth have shown that the faith placed in them has not been misplaced as seen from the success listed in this briefing. Furthermore out of these interaction and successes we have identified the eleven program components of the strategic plan 2006 2010 highlighted in this document from page 8.

We in UZIMA FOUNDATION are very excited about what our youth can achieve as we as we look to the future. We invite you to join us as partners in making a positive difference in the lives of our youth.
